Nova Scotians gathered to commemorate today’s National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. Today is the 27th anniversary of the Montreal massacre, where 14 women were killed at École Polytechnique by a man who said he was “fighting feminism”.

Liberals still preferred NS party: Corporate Research Associates
The Liberals continue to be the preferred party in Nova Scotia. The latest Corporate Research Associates survey has 56% of decided voters supporting them, unchanged from August. The PCs are at 20%, compared with 22%; 19% prefer the New Democrats, which is the same; and 4% support the Greens, up from 2%. 29% aren’t sure, 5% didn’t say and 3% support none or don’t plan to vote.
