The province has appointed a new Labour Board chair. Karen Hollett has served as a roster mediator with the Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador, and an arbitrator with that province’s Labour Relations Agency. Her appointment is for five years, effective January 3rd.

Province to add two helicopters to EHS LifeFlight
Nova Scotia will add two helicopters to the EHS LifeFlight service. They’ll be Sikorsky S-76 C-pluses, the same model used in BC. One helicopter will be in service at all times.
