The province has reached a 10-year health agreement with the federal government. Nova Scotia will receive about $288 million in new funding for home care and mental health. The agreement includes a clause that ensures if any other province or territory reaches an agreement with better financial terms, Nova Scotia will get those.

NS Securities Commission issues cease-trade to Vincent Byrne
The Securities Commission has issued a temporary cease-trade order against Vincent Byrne. The former mutual fund salesperson kiboshed his registration in 2013, but has since given investment advice and done trading on behalf of clients. Byrne has been ordered to stop, except on his own behalf.
