Grief counsellors will be at Memorial Composite High today after the death of a student last week.

15 year old Kobe Clarence Pink’s body was found on a beach in Sydney Mines after he went missing from a party last Wednesday night.

SIRT has been called in to handle the investigation because police went to the party on Peck Street following a complaint. There were 30-40 people at the party and many scattered when police arrived.

A autopsy is underway into the cause of death.

Nobody was hurt in a house fire in Point Edward yesterday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to Twin Lighthouse Farm and got it out fairly quickly.

There was some structural and smoke damage to the farmhouse. Westmount Fire Chief John Digou told the Chronicle Herald it was started when the homeowners tossed out hot ashes from a wood stove too close to the building.
