CBU talks

Contracts will resume between C-B-U and its Faculty Association today.

A provincial conciliator will help to try to get the two sides to agree on a new deal after a tentative contract was rejected by the Board of Governors in the fall after it fired President David Wheeler.

The Faculty Association is in a legal strike position now, but hasn’t given notice of any job action.

CBRM youth council

CBRM is looking for teens to serve on its Youth Council.

It’s intended to get young citizens involved in sharing their ideas and play a role in shaping the future of CBRM.  It also helps them develop leadership skills.

Youth between 14 and 18 are encouraged to attend the first meeting of the Youth Council Tuesday, January 10 at 4:00pm in the Community Room at City Hall.
