The husband of Immigration Minister Lena Diab has been released on bail with orders to stay away from the family.  Maroun Diab will be back in court February to answer to the assault and other charges he’s facing after an incident New Year’s Eve in the family’s home.

Lena Diab spoke briefly to reporters yesterday about the incident thanking the community for its support and calling it a very tragic, sad; private and personal matter.  She didn’t take any questions.

It’s the time of year gadget lovers love the most.  The massive Consumer Electronics Show is underway in several venues in Las Vegas, showing off their wares and ideas for the future.

Samsung is one of the largest exhibitors with demonstrations of its boat racing, air show and other virtual-reality experiences in chairs that move.  Hyundai is offering V-R demos for people to experience what it’s like to ride in an autonomous car.

There are also flashy concept cars like the Toyota Concept-i, with doors that flip up and a 3-D display inside.
