The massive waves on the Bay of Fundy because of the strong winds yesterday were spectacular…but also destructive.

They destroyed the old train station in St. Martins which was built in the late 1870s. The building is now tipping towards the sea and may be finished off during the high tides today.

Waves were crashing right over some roads running along the water, including the Courtney Bay Causeway which was closed for awhile.

 

 

A couple on the east side have been charged with failing to provide their five children with the necessities of life.

The pair can’t be named to protect the indentities of the children. The man and woman are facing five counts each for each of the children and they are also charged with mischief after a home was damaged.

They have been granted an adjournment until February 20th to enter pleas so they can find a lawyer.
