Work will continue today in a big hole in the south end. Crews had to dig it up after a water main break yesterday.
Pitt Street is closed between St. James and Broad Streets while Britain Street was closed to through traffic between Wentworth and Crown. It could be tomorrow before the work is finished.
Premier Brian Gallant was in town with his chequebook yesterday. He announced $2 million for business and industrial parks.
The government will hand out the money through the Regional Development Corporation. It’s equal to the provincial property tax on unsold or undeveloped land in eligible parks. Any business or industrial park owned by a not-for-profit enterprise or a municipality can apply.
