Canada’s population continues to shift. Stats-Can says half of the population could be made up of immigrants or the children of immigrants within 20 years.
In 1871…the First census showed 16% of the 3.7 million people in Canada were born abroad, with British, American and Germans topping the list.
President Donald Trump calls it an effort to get back control of the border.
Trump signed an executive order yesterday to start construction right away on the U-S-Mexico border wall. Hours later, Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto spoke to his citizens rejecting the decision and repeating Mexico will not pay for any wall. Nieto is also cancelling a trip to Washington next week to meet with Trump.
