Saint John police are cracking down on those who don’t yield for pedestrians in crosswalks, and those who use their cellphone while driving.  They targeted Churchill Boulevard yesterday, and will do various parts of the city over the next while.

Quispamsis and Rothesay get much less equalization money than Riverview, and councillors are bothered by that.  The three towns are in the province’s “large residential municipalities” group.  Emil Olsen of Quispamsis told the Telegraph-Journal Riverview is getting all the money that our local towns have lost over the years.  Olsen thinks it’s a penalty for being frugal with tax money.
