The Yazidis are a minority ethnic group in northern Iraq and elsewhere. About 400 asylum seekers, most of them Yazidis, have arrived here in recent months.
Conservative M-P Michelle Rempel applauded the government’s move to help resettle them in Canada…but said it’s only one small piece of a broader puzzle to save the Yazidis from annihilation.
