The former Vice-Chief of defence staff who was suspended last month has hired a prominent lawyer to defend him.

Marie Henein issued a statement yesterday suggesting Vice-Admiral Mark Norman is the victim of bureaucratic crossfire and he looks forward to being cleared.  DND has yet to 0ffer any details on why he was suspended.

Prime Minister Trudeau and President Donald Trump talked by phone yesterday about continued cross-border co-operation, softwood lumber and their women’s business group initiative.

Trudeau’s office issued a statement saying the P-M thanked Trump for a positive and constructive day of talks when they met at the White House last week.
