Fishermen lose court fight over massive turbine

Fishermen have lost their court fight to have a large tidal turbine removed from the Bay of Fundy.

The Bay of Fundy Inshore Fishermen’s Association argued in court in February that the environment minister granted approval of the Cape Sharp Tidal project in Minas Passage without enough environmental data.

Justice Heather Robertson released her decision yesterday rejecting the group’s claims, saying extraordinary efforts were made to evaluate risk.

The Fishermen’s group is considering whether to appeal.

Russians implicated in Syrian chemical attack

The U-S is pointing the finger at Russia now in connection with the chemical attack in Syria.

They say new information shows Russia knew in advance of the plans to target civilians with chemical weapons, although there’s no concrete proof. The fact a Russian-operated drone was hovering over the hospital where victims were taken is no coincidence. Then the hospital was bombed in an attempted coverup.
