Investigation continues into prison death

A convicted killer serving an indefinite life sentence for murder has died at the Atlantic Institution at Renous.

Correctional Service Canada has called in police to investigate the death of 38 year old Guy Langlois but it isn’t saying anything about how he died.

Langlois had been convicted of second-degree murder and had been at the prison since 2000.

Former officer charged with sexual assault in the military

A former armed forces captain, who was charged last year with sexually assaulting a fellow soldier at CFB Gagetown, is now facing a similiar charge on the west coast.

Simon Duvall, who was in the military for 10 years, was charged a week ago with sexually assaulting another member at CFB Esquimault outside Victoria. So far, the matter is proceeding as a court martial.

Duvall was charged last November with sexually assault at Gagetown for an incident that happened in 2010 or 2011.
