Flooding deadly in Quebec

The flooding in Quebec has resulted in at least two deaths.

The body of a man was recovered from the water about 500 metres from where a car was swept into the surging Sainte-Anne River in the Gaspe. A 2 year old girl is still missing…and a search continues.

Hundreds of communities throughout Quebec and in eastern Ontario continue to struggle with the flood waters. 1,500 soldiers have been sent in by the federal government to help.

Deadly fire near Woodstock

The RCMP is investigating after a woman’s body was found in a fire at a house Deerville, north of Woodstock.

The cause of the fire Saturday remains under investigation. The woman’s name has not been released.
