The Gallant Government is making post-secondary education loans more accessible with a $3.4 million investment.
The government is changing its part of the Canada Student Loans Program August 1st so more students will be eliglble for financial assistance. Students will only have to provide a fixed contribution between $1,500 and $3,000 per year based on family income.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau took a helicopter tour of the flood zone in Gatineau yesterday. He’s asking canadians to help by contributing to the Red Cross. Ottawa has given the agency a million dollars already for the flood relief. 3,000 people have been evacuated from their flooded homes.
Trudeau also said Canadians will have to start bracing for more severe weather events….for a so-called hundred year storem every five or ten years.
