Boudreau gives up share in campground

Provincial Health Minister Victor Boudreau is giving up his stake in a controversial campground at Parlee Beach.

Boudreau said he has directed his lawyer to forfeit his 20% stake in the proposed campground in Shediac which means he won’t receive compensation for his share. How much that is hasn’t been disclosed.

The Conservatives have been demanding his resignation citing a possible conflict of interest since his department oversees public health officials who would normally do the water testing, although Tourism officials have been conducting the tests at Parlee.

Rising waters

EMO says water levels of the St. John River are expected to rise again this week.  It does say things should remain below flood stage aside from in Jemseg and Sheffield-Lakeville Corner.
