Prison time for woman

An uptown woman is going to prison for an armed holdup at a bar.

35 year old Jennifer Leigh Cyr was sentenced to 41 months for the robbery at the Park Plaza Motel bar on Rothesay Avenue at knifepoint just before Christmas, according to the Telegraph-Journal.

Crown prosecutor Jim McAvity said it was obvious that Cyr committed the crimes because of substance abuse and asked that she being given federal time so she can access treatment programs.
