The Trudeau Government will be spending an extra $62 billion over the next twenty years on the military. It’ll be spent mainly on equipment such as the ships and fighter-jets…but also to add about 3,500 new personnel.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg praised the announcement saying it affirms Canada’s unwavering commitment to the treaty organization.

President Donald Trump gave our Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan a big thumbs up for his announcement. Naturally Trump is taking credit for it…even though the review has been underway since long before he took office.

Watch out for that line of credit on your home

There are more warnings about homeowners taking on too much credit.

The Financial Consumer Agency of Canada says the number of households with a home equity line of credit and a mortgage has increased by nearly 40% in the last 6 years. It points out the lines of credit may prompt people to borrow more than they can afford and leave them more vulnerable to economic shocks such as a job loss or hike in interest rates.
