Prime Minister Theresa May lost her majority in the British election yesterday but still has the most seats.
The Conservatives reduced number of seats could put the Brexit negotiations in jeapordy. May called the election early in hopes of increasing her majority to strewngthen her hand in exit talks with the European Union…but failed. Now pressure is mounting on her to resign.
The Penguins shut down the Predators 6-0 to take a three game to two lead in the series. Sidney Crosby had three assists. Matt Murray made 24 saves.
In Senior baseball action…the Fisher Cats beat the Alpines 4-1 in Saint John.
In he big leagues…the Blue Jays were off. The Yankees pounded the Red Sox 9-1.
In CFL pre-season football…the Red Blacks beat the Ti-Cats in a squeeker 30-29. Argonauts downed the Alouettes 24-20.
