A Nova Scotia businessman who fled across the border from Maine to New Brunswick on a snowmobile has been jailed for 18 months in Boston.

69 year old Cyril Gordon Lunn, who made a fortune developing properties in Massachusetts, hid as much as $4 million in Canadian banks after declaring bankruptcy in 2001. He fled from Presque Isle across the border into New Brunswick on a rented snowmobile in 2005 and authorities didn’t find him until last year.

Comey testimony

The top republican and democratic members of the Senate intelligence committee believe former FBI director James Comey told the truth under oath yesterday.

Comey testified that he interpreted remarks from Donald Trump in a private meeting as a directive to shut down the bureau’s investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn’s connections with Russia. Trump’s lawyer says the President made no such suggestion.

Comey also testified he considered it very serious that the Russian Government was interfering in the presidential election.
