The Gallant Government is extending equal pay provisions to three more groups of civil servants.
It’ll cost $8.4 million over 10 years to pay for pay equity for professional school support workers, specialized health-care workers and medical science professionals.
The Pay Equity Coalition welcomes the move calling it a step forward. However it points out the equity negotiation process hasn’t yet begun for large groups, like teachers, NB power or Crown corporations.
