Legislature opens with throne speech focusing on education

The fall session of the legislature opened with a throne speech focusing mostly on education. Included was increased opportunities for students to learn coding and the trades; more money to help pay for daycare; and free tuition for undergrad students attending a public New Brunswick post-secondary school whose family earns up to $60,000 a year. New executive director for Cherry Brook Zoo

Martha McDevitt has been appointed executive director of the Greater Saint John Cherry Brook Zoo, effective October 23rd.

Since last July, McDevitt has served as the acting executive director. The Board of Trustees have been pleased with her work and the progress she has made, in both providing vision and in motivating the staff.
