Province launches new radio system for first responders

The province has launched a new mobile radio communication system for first responders and other users.

Municipal police forces, volunteer fire departments, paramedics, school bus drivers and snow plow operators will be among users of the New Brunswick Trunked Mobile Radio system. The government partnered with Bell Mobility for the system.

Saint John on track for record year for tourism

Saint John is on track for a record-setting tourism year. New data from STR found hotel occupancy is up 5.8% at the end of September, compared to this point last year.

In 2015, there were 1.5 million visitors to the city. New Brunswick, Canadian and international visits went up 4.2%, 3.5% and 1% respectively.
