The National Farmers Union in New Brunswick has released an opinion piece saying support for new farmers must include daycare. Low-income New Brunswickers have a daycare subsidy, but farm families haven’t been able to get it because they’re self-employed. Members met with the province about this in the summer and were told they could be involved with consultations, but are still awaiting details about the daycare program restructuring.

Rothesay Common wins Great Places in Canada Contest’s People’s Choice Award
The Rothesay Common is the People’s Choice Award winner in the Canadian Institute of Planners’ Great Places in Canada Contest. Streets, neighbourhoods and public spaces were submitted, with a jury of professional planners picking the category winners. The Rothesay Common won People’s Choice Public Space after a public vote.
