Morningstar murder trial

The lawyers gave their closing arguments to the jury in the Devin Moringstar murder trial in Moncton yesterday.

The Times and Transcript reports the Crown contends Morningstar killed Baylie Wylie to impress Marissa Shepard. The defence argued his client was the fall guy, the scapegoat for Shepard and Tyler Noel…that Morningstar was guilty of assault in stabbing Wylie three times, but not murder.

The judge will give the jury its instructions this morning then it will begin deliberations.
