Trudeau and Obama meet

Prime Minister Trudeau and President Obama say they plan to do as much as they can in the last two months of his presidency to solve border issues.

Trudeau says the ongoing softwood lumber dispute and pre-clearance for visitors crossing borders were among the issues the two discussed as the two had a private meeting at the APEC Summitt in Lima, Peru.

Keeper of the Cliffs passes

A world renowned Nova Scotia fossil collector has passed away.

The man known as the Keeper of the Cliffs, Don Reid, began collecting Joggins area fossils in the 1930’s and is credited with helping the area become a world heritage site in 2008. Reid was also an Order of Nova Scotia recipient. CTV Reports the funeral for Reid is scheduled for Thursday in Amherst.
