Enterprise Saint John concerned with funding cut

One of the things cut by Quispamsis town council in its budget deliberations last weekend was its contribution to Enterprize Saint John.

The councillors approved just half of $112,000 the regional development agency asked for. The Agency’s Chairman Larry Hachey told the Telegraph-Journal not only can they not afford to lose more than $50,000 it might prompt the other municipalities to cut their contributions. Enterprise Saint John gets $700,000 a year from the city, Quispamsis, Rothesay, Grand Bay-Westfield and St. Martin’s.
