A Liberal think tank is trying to stave off criticisms in the cash for access scandal plaguing the Trudeau Government.
Canada 2020 was founded by Liberals with close links to the Prime Minister. It says it has now introduced a new donor agreement that spells out that contributions will not buy access to the P-M or anyone in his inner circle.
An anti-poverty group is calling on the Trudeau government to amend the Canada Child Benefit in order to keep pace with increases in the cost of living.
Campaign 2000 says the Liberals’ new income-tested benefit could fall short of its lofty goals of combating child poverty because it isn’t automatically adjusted to the increases.
