Grow-op sentence

A 60 year old Marrtown man has been sentenced to 33 months in prison for a marijuanna grow-op.

Arden William Gregg pleaded guilty to production of marijuanna and several other charges. He was given credit for time served in custody since his arrest in late August.

A member of the armed forces was flying over the area when he spotted marijuanna plants growing in the woods.

AG – Meat

The Auditor General has concerns about meat safety in the province.  Kim MacPherson says her latest audit found processes in the Health Department to inspect meat and ensure they are safe aren’t always followed. She says the food premises program, which inspects slaughterhouses, butcher shops, grocery stores and restaurants to obtain a licence is not always followed which leads to unaddressed food safety risks.
