Police are asking Saint John hockey fans to toss teddy bears today. The Saint John Police Force is partnering with the Neighborhood police Council once again for the annual Teddy Bear Toss at this afternoon’s Saint John Sea Dogs game. The Seadogs drop the puck at 3pm this afternoon at Harbour Station and fans will be invited to toss the bears onto the ice. The bears will then be collected and donated to children in need.

Province Changes Marriage Rules
Marriage under the age of 16 will not be allowed in New Brunswick under proposed amendments to legislation. Service New Brunswick Minister Ed Doherty says the changes to the Marriage Act bring the province in line with federal rules. He says Ottawa asked the provinces to make the change last year. Doherty says people between the ages of 16 and 18 will need parental or judicial consent under the changes.
