Reversing Fall Bridge barrier on hold

The suicide barrier at the Reversing Falls Bridge is on hold indefinitely.

Transportation Minister Bill Fraser told CBC he still hasn’t decided whether it’s the best course of action to reduce the overall suicide rate in the province. Fraser says a lot more consultation is needed before a decision to go ahead is made….it’s not going to be a quick decision because it’s a serious decision.

The province has already budget $500,000 for the suicide barrier.
