Two inept thieves will be doing jail time for an attempted robbery.
33 year old Laurie Delong and 25 year old Bradley Dennis McCully were each given 20 months after pleading guilty to trying to rob Connell’s Grocery in Long Creek early last month. McCully went into the store demanding money. He was chased off by the owner with a broom handle. Delong was the getaway driver.
Parks Canada is advertising for someone to run the 9 hole golf course at Fundy National Park.
The Parks people say they want to concentrate on delivering their core mandate to protect and preserve Canada’s natural heritage and culture. So it’s looking for a private operator to run the course which was built in 1948. The deadline for proposals is February 15.
