Successful moose hunting license applicants can now find out if they’ll be hunting this fall.

Officials say there were 60,000 applications for the 4,635 licenses.  Hunters can check the results online at the Department of Energy and Resource Development website, using their Outdoors Card number.

The hunt is set to go from September 26th to 30th.

A cat missing for weeks in Sackville has been saved by a dog.

Cashew was out for a walk with his owner when he stopped at a manhole at the corner of Charlotte and Lansdowne and made a fuss.  Inside was Ghost, who the Tribune-Post reports, was finally brought out later that day after proving a bit elusive for his rescuers
