Jeopardy has led to a wedding…the game show Jeopardy.

Maryanne Lewell of New Brunswick, met Michael Townes, of South Carolina, when both competed on Jeopardy four years ago in its annual teacher’s tournament. Lewell told the New York Times the two of them hit it off…and got married earlier this month.  Jeopardy host Alex Trebek sent them his congratulations, calling them winners in love.

President Donald Trump, in a series of Tweets, said he was banning transgender troops from serving anywhere in the military. That brought swift condemnation from a number of people including former vice-president Al Gore who said he doubted Trump talked to top military commanders before making his decision as he claimed.
Meanwhile, our military says it is continuing to work on improvements to its transgender policy which is expected to be updated this fall.

DND, which lifted its ban on transgender people and L-G-B-T members in 1992, responded in a tweet that it welcomes Canadians of all sexual orientations and gender identities.
