A Halifax woman has avoided jail for defrauding her former employer. 60-year-old Veronica Louise Delgado had pleaded guilty to swiping $80,000 between 2012-2015 when she worked at Can-Euro Investments. She got a conditional sentence of two years less a day, three years’ probation and restitution.

Teenage boy charged in murder of Chelsie Probert
A teenager has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Chelsie Probert. The 18-year-old was found on a pathway in medical distress earlier this month, and died in hospital. A 16-year-old boy was arrested yesterday in Dartmouth, and held for Youth Court today.
