The Offshore Energy Research Association of Nova Scotia and France Energies Marines are teaming up. They’ve signed a Memo of Understanding to collaborate on research to improve technologies and applications for tidal energy in the Bay of Fundy, and off the coast of France.

Amendments to let municipalities pay for wells upfront
The province is making legislative amendments to allow municipalities to create a program to pay for drilling or expanding wells upfront. These costs would then be applied to a property’s tax bill and repaid over a specific period. It’s meant to help those with dry wells.
