Second Annual Immuno-Oncology Symposium in Moncton tomorrow

The new era of immunotherapy and its role in the successful treatment of lung cancer, melanoma and other cancers will be the focus of the Second Annual Immuno-Oncology Symposium in Moncton on November 4, 2016.

Chaired by Dr. Mahmoud Abdelsalam, oncologist with Horizon Health Network, the symposium will be held at the Four Points Sheraton from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The scientific committee hosting the event is comprised of medical oncologists from both The Moncton Hospital and the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, in addition to clinical pharmacists from The Moncton Hospital.

Over 100 clinicians are expected to attend.

No bids for latest CNSOPB parcel call

The Canada – Nova Scotia Offshore Petroleum Board says no bids were received for the latest call. Six parcels are no longer up for bid and remain Crown land. 1, 2, and 3 were in shallow water on the Scotian Shelf, south of Sable Island; 4, 5 and 6 were south of those, on the outer shelf and slope of the central Scotian margin.
