Three drivers were sent to hospital as the harness racing season came to a terrifying close at Northside Downs in North Sydney on Saturday.

Drivers Danny Campbell, Roddy Hurley and John Beaton were injured in the collision and taken to hospital.  Beaton was reportedly airlifted to hospital in Halifax.

The horses involved in the collision suffered only minor injuries.

The anti-Trump protests are continuing.

Immigrants, their advocates and others are speaking out against the president-elect’s support of deportation of illegal immigrants and other measures.

More than a thousand demonstrators marched in New York City carrying signs.

About 50 anti-Trump protesters also gathered outside Toronto city hall.
