The defence didn’t call any evidence at Matthew Tucker’s second-degree murder trial. The jury was sent home for the day, with crown and defence summations tomorrow morning. The 36-year-old Oak Haven man is charged with killing his mother, Dorothy, two years ago.

Saint John awarded thousands for code-violating condos
The city has been awarded $9000 total for infractions in a now-empty condo building. Multiple units in the Mount Pleasant-area building didn’t meet minimum property standards, and the owners were fined $1000 per. The condos also have to stay vacant until they’re brought to code.
