Economic Development Coordinator Bill Thompson and his team are hosting meetings as part of their plan for Sussex and area. Next Wednesday, the 23rd will cover tourism, retail, arts, culture, education and training; Thursday the 24th will cover agriculture, manufacturing, forestry, distribution, mining and services. Both meetings start at 7pm at Kingswood University.

More New Brunswickers using food banks this year than last
The 2016 Hunger Count Report shows there have been 783 more New Brunswickers using food banks this year than last. The increase is 26.4% since 2008. The New Brunswick Common Front for Social Justice is calling for a $15 minimum wage in the next five years, and more money for EI and social assistance.
