Body of Stephane Leger found

The body of a 25-year-old Moncton man who had been reported missing has been found.

Members of the Codiac Regional RCMP discovered Stephane Leger this morning on the banks of the Petitcodiac River near Assomption and Vaughan Harvey Boulevards in Moncton.

Police made the discovery following information received from a member of the public who believed they had seen the man in that area on the night he went missing.

The man was reported missing by his family on Monday. He had last been seen in the Robinson Court area of downtown Moncton on November 20, at about 1:00 a.m.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine cause of death.

Foul play is not suspected at this time, however police are continuing to investigate in order to determine what happened.

Health Authority shouldn’t fax referrals: Tully

Information and Privacy Commissioner Catherine Tully is recommending the health authority move away from faxed referrals.  An investigation into three breaches of sensitive mental health information found faxing was to blame.  Referrals were meant for the Bedford-Sackville Community Mental Health Clinic, but ended up at a Bedford business.
