A Halifax police officer has pleaded guilty to assaulting his ex-girlfriend.
44 year old Constable Jason Richard Murray pleaded guilty this week to assaulting the woman and will be back in court next week for sentencing.
The incidents took place between 2013 and 14.
An 18 year old man was stabbed in the hand during a fight in Dartmouth yesterday afternoon.
Police were called to Alderney Landing when it broke out between two men in a group of five people. The victim’s injuries were not life-threatening. 22-year-old Donavin Andrew Diggs of Dartmouth faces aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and five counts of breaching probation.
