More funding for Safe Harbour

The Gallant Government is contributing $225,000 annually towards the Safe Harbour youth shelter’s operating costs for the next six years, according to the Telegraph-Journal. Partners in Youth will actually operate the facility and will have to come up with $100,000 on its own.

Safe Harbour closed its doors last January because of a hefty Lien of over $640,000 on the property…but that has now been paid by the Anglican Diocese of Fredericton.

They are planning to reopen the youth facility in March.
