New Glasgow doctor suspended after being charged with voyeurism

A doctor has been charged with voyeurism at a medical clinic in New Glasgow.

41 year old Doctor Rafid al-Nassar, who fled Iraq a decade ago, was arrested after a complaint from clinic staff at the Westside Medical Centre. Police seized electronics and identified people in the videos shot in a staff washroom, which was not open to the public.

The College of Physicians and Surgeons suspnded his license yesterday.

Agropur buys Scotsburn

Nova Scotia dairy company Scotsburn Co-operative Services has sold its business to the Quebec dairy giant Agropur Co-operative.

Scotsburn says Agropur will continue to employ the company’s 260 full-time and part-time unionized employees in the Maritimes and Quebec…but there’s no word on the fate of 100 non-union employees. The selling price hasn’t been disclosed.
