A boil water order has been issued for residents east of the Reversing Falls Bridge.
The heavy rains and high winds have stirred up the water supply causing turbidity or cloudiness. So about 45,000 users on the east side as well as north and south ends are advised to boil water for consumption. Residents of the Harbourview subdivision are not affected because they have their own system.
The province was battered yesterday for a second time this week by a pre-winter storm. This time it was worst in the north.
As much as 25cms of snow fell with a lot of wind…and power lines to come down. Thousands of NB Power customers are in the dark this morning….mainly from the Fredericton and Miramichi areas north. There are still a couple of outages to the east of Saint John.
