Big Brothers Big Sisters on the South Shore is out of money and will have to close if it can’t raise the needed funds to stay open.
Executive Director Vanessaa Mossop told the CBC they $30,000 to keep the doors open. She says corporate and private donations have been declining for years. The South Shore chapter has been mentoring about 50 children on average each year.
