The province has asked for proposals to continue the redevelopment of the QEII hospital complex. A request for proposals for a consultant to design an increase in the number of ORs and relocation of two interventional suites at the Halifax Infirmary. It’s part of the master plan to relocate the services currently available at the Centennial and Victoria buildings.

Hazmat cleanup after fentanyl O-D in Dartmouth
A Dartmouth man is recovering after an overdose scare involving fentanyl. Crews found him unresponsive Sunday afternoon on Robert Drive and took him to hospital.
The drugs were cleaned up by professionals in hazmat suits because of the extreme toxicity of fentanyl.
