A tanker vessel that ran aground off the coast of Cape Breton has been freed from the seabed. After a pair of attempts were hampered by weather, the Mexican owned Arca 1 was pulled free without incident this morning. The Arca 1 is now being towed to Sydney harbour for repairs. The Tanker ran aground off Little Pond after suffering engine failure during a storm last Sunday.

Man Crushed to Death by Own Vehicle at Dieppe Farmers Market
Police believe a man who died near the Dieppe Farmers Market on Saturday morning was crushed by his own vehicle. RCMP were called to scene shortly after 7:30am. Police say it appears the 67-year-old man from Scoudouc was under his vehicle checking the brakes when he was pinned underneath. His wife was working nearby at the Dieppe Farmers Market. The incident is still under investigation and anyone who may have witnessed anything is asked to contact the RCMP.
