The province has announced $2.5 million for renovations at Polyvalente Louis-J.-Robichaud in Shediac. It will help extend the life of the school by another 30 years.
It was built in 1969 and houses 586 students.

Moncton man sentenced for sexual offences…but he’s free
A Moncton man has been released from jail after pleading guilty to several offences including sexual touching of a girl under 16.
That’s because 61 year old Bharat Kumar Gadher is a first-time offender and has been in jail since his arrest 14 months ago. Court was told Gadher contacted 8 girls through websites. He saw some of them only once but others regularly.
